Linea
Accessibility
Linea should work for everyone, whatever their eyes, hands or device.
Make it yours
The palette in the header changes the look for you, and your browser remembers it:
- Five themes: System (follows your device's light or dark setting), Light, Dark, Parchment and High contrast.
- Three text sizes: normal, large (12.5% larger) and extra large (25% larger).
- Four page widths, from narrow to wide.
- Color-vision settings for protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia, which replace the colors that carry meaning (links, warnings, errors, focus) with ones that stay apart.
- The site's text in 27 languages, from the language menu.
Keyboard and screen readers
Every page works with the keyboard alone: the first Tab offers “Skip to content”, menus open with Enter or Space, and whatever has the focus is outlined. Pages are built from headings, labels and landmarks, so screen readers can find their way around.
The standard we aim for
Linea aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Colors are chosen for contrast, and the theme editor administrators use flags any change that would make text hard to read.
