Linea
API
Everything on this site comes from the Linea API, which your programs can use too.
The Linea API
The Linea API is a JSON web API over the whole catalog: stories, characters, concepts, places, things, universes and realities; people, organizations, locations and works; categories, relationships, credits, files and translations. Its OpenAPI document describes every endpoint, its parameters and its answers.

The document lists every endpoint, including those only signed-in members or administrators may use.
Access
Every request needs one of these:
- An API key, sent in the X-Api-Key header, for programs that read the catalog. Keys are issued by Linea's administrators.
- A member's sign-in token, sent as Authorization: Bearer, for programs acting for that person, who may then add and change records as on the site.
To ask for an API key, tell us what you would like to build: Contact
Fair use
Requests are rate-limited, and sign-in attempts are throttled. Please cache what you read and ask only for what your program needs.
